Notably, despite the antibody inhibited EGF-stimulated phosphorylation of EGFR in both MDA-MB-231 and BT-549 cells (Supplementary Fig. S7), it did not cause an appreciable inhibition of cell adhesion to vitronectin (Fig. 4a) even at a concentration (100 μg/ml) higher than steady state plasma levels in cancer patients administered with the clinical dosing regimen43.
