Our results align with previous findings from other research groups, who have reported attenuated IL-8 levels in sputum, nasal lavage, and bronchoalveolar wash from TRPM-exposed subjects with asthma, as compared to similarly exposed healthy controls (Stenfors et al., 2004; Barraza-Villarreal et al., 2008; Behndig et al., 2011).
