Asselin-Labat, M. L. et al. reported that, in a subtype of human breast carcinoma, GATA3 mutation abrogated the DNA-binding ability, with mechanistic investigation revealed that GATA3 negatively regulated the tumor-initiating capacity of mammary luminal progenitor cells and targets the putative tumor suppressor caspase-14 [15]. Here, GATA3 is linked to breast carcinoma.
