CDK1 and hepatocellular carcinoma: It is well-known that, in the G2/M transition process, PLK-1 induces CDC25 activation to promote CDK1 activation [35], and here we found that all three of these proteins were inhibited by KPNA2 knockdown in hepatocellular carcinoma cells, suggesting that KPNA2 silencing-induced G2/M phase arrest could occur through the PLK1-CDC25-CDK1 axis [36].
