To further gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the tumor suppression function of KPNA2 knockdown in hepatocellular carcinoma, the transcriptomes of HepG2 cells infected with lentivirus expressing either Scr-shRNA or KPNA2-shRNA were examined by a microarray platform, and a total of 1585 genes showed significantly changed expression, with P < 0.05 and > 1.5 absolute value of fold change (Figure 7A), including 647 upregulated genes and 938 downregulated genes. This evidence concerns the gene KPNA2 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
