F2R and cancer: Previously, we have shown a novel link between human protease-activated receptor-1 (hPar-1) and β-catenin stabilization using a transgenic mouse model whereby hPar1 is overexpressed in the mammary glands and several cancer cell-lines [25–27], demonstrating that PAR1 induces β-catenin stabilization via early formation of the PAR1-Gα13-DVL-DIX axis.
