ATM and non-small cell lung carcinoma: By using the accompanying outcome data in the Glans-Look lung cancer database, we confirm that measuring absolute ATM level in samples does not significantly predict survival in early-resected NSCLC, as was previously reported [19], however we show that when ATM deficiency is defined as a ratio of tumour to stromal expression below 0.716, ATM loss is an independent predictor of both 5-year DFS and 5-year OS.
