We also selected the peaks found by ACME, and the following genes had hypermethylated peaks in more than 3 samples: MLH1, SFRP2, VHL, APC, FHIT, GATA6 and RARB. MLH1 had hypermethylated peaks in 7 samples, and SFRP2, VHL had peaks in 5 samples, which were highly correlated with HCC. The gene discussed is APC; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
