Notably, a PLK1 inhibitor, MLN0905, demonstrated significant pre-clinical activity in DLBCL models [20], and one of first PLK1 inhibitors to undergo clinical evaluation in humans, BI 2536 (Boerhinger-Ingelheim), demonstrated significant single-agent activity in patients with lymphoma (CTCL) in a phase I trial [21].
