NFκB is a known regulator of many aberrant cellular functions in cancer cells, including cell migration, chemo-resistance, and tumor engraftment [11–13] Yamamoto et al., reported that NFκB non-cell autonomously regulated cancer stem cells in basal-like breast cancer, suggesting a major role of this signaling pathway in BCSC function [14]. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and breast carcinoma.
