FGFR1 and neoplasm: Since we have previously demonstrated that PGE2 induces angiogenesis by promoting fibroblast growth factor receptor-1 (FGFR1) nuclear translocation [31] and that PGE2 transactivates EGFR leading to tumor progression [15, 17], we have tested whether PGE2 coupling with EP receptors induces EGFR nuclear shuttling in NSCLC cells.
