To further confirm the functional role in pancreatic cancer progression, cells co-transfected with scrambled miRNA and notch3 overexpressing plasmids (pcDNA3.1-notch3) significantly suppressed cell proliferation when compared to the control group, while co-transfection miR-613 mimics and notch3 overexpressing plasmids restored the inhibitory effects of miR-613 mimics in pancreatic cancer cells (Figure 3D). This evidence concerns the gene NOTCH3 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
