In the subgroup analyses by gender, we found a significant relationship between PD1.3 polymorphism and increased SLE risk in the males (A vs. G: OR = 2.09, 95% CI = 1.06-4.12, P = 0.03, Figure 3), while there was no association observed in the females (A vs. G: OR = 1.04, 95% CI = 0.78-1.40, P = 0.78). The gene discussed is PDCD1; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
