It is noteworthy, however, that FAM13C as well as many other prognostic features such as HOXB13 [23], CD147 [29], FOXP2 [30], CD151 [31], c-MET [32] or p27 [33] are not only expressed in cancer cells but also in normal prostatic epithelium as well as in basal (FOXP2, c-MET), inflammatory (CD117, FOXP3) [34, 35], endothelial (CD151), neuronal (ß3-tubulin) [20], or stromal cells (FAM13C). This evidence concerns the gene FOXP2 and cancer.
