Although svPPA is almost uniformly associated with Tar‐DNA‐binding protein type C (TDP‐C) protein pathology, bvFTD can be associated with a variety of proteinopathies including various forms of TDP as well as various forms of tau pathology including progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration, Pick's disease, and other variants (Bang et al., 2015). Here, MAPT is linked to Classical progressive supranuclear palsy.
