The main purpose of the current study was to investigate the effect of daily treatment with a higher dose (2 g) of n-3 PUFAs on platelet function, coagulation parameters, clot properties, as well as markers of systemic inflammation and metabolic status (i.e., HbA1c, insulin level, lipid profiles and leptin and adiponectin levels), in patients with atherosclerotic vascular disease and DM2 who receive OMT. This evidence concerns the gene LEP and myotonic dystrophy type 2.
