De-regulated expression of the proteins MME, TFRC, XRCC6, TOP2A and CD59 were found to be significantly associated with increased risk of PCa recurrence in the Galsky-Oh study and also identified as significantly changed in expression between androgen sensitive and androgen independent cell lines (MME, TFRC, XRCC6 and TOP2A) and as result of hypoxia (CD59). This evidence concerns the gene CD59 and posterior cortical atrophy.
