Studies have demonstrated that hyperhomocysteinemia is an independent risk factor for stroke [7] and that Hcy is associated with MTHFR C677T polymorphism [27], which was validated in this current study (Supplementary Table  1, in Supplementary Material available online at https://doi.org/10.1155/2017/6216205). The gene discussed is MTHFR; the disease is stroke disorder.
