PTBP1 knockdown inhibited short-term colon cancer cell proliferation in MTT assays, long-term colony formation and by subcutaneous tumor model in nude mice (Figure 2C, 2D and Figure 3) and reduced the invasive capacity of migration and invasion by Wound-healing assays and Transwell Migration/Invasion assays (Figure 2E and 2F), consisting with other results in CRC and tumor cells from multiple origins [19, 20].
