Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have demonstrated that rs2689154 (MIPEPP2), rs4927850 (LOC105374300), rs2255280 (DAB2), rs12615966 (LOC284998), rs7574865 (STAT4), and rs3790844 (NR5A2) SNPs are associated with an increased risk of pancreatic cancer in Japanese [9, 10] and Chinese population [11]. The gene discussed is MIPEPP2; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
