Compared with full-length GATA-1, GATA1s has a reduced transactivation potential because of the absence of the N-terminal transactivation domain [31] and this isoform was linked to a highly informative pair of disorders—transient abnormal myelopoiesis (TAM) [32] and acute megakaryoblastic leukaemia (AMKL) [31, 33].
