Depletion of endogenous dynamin 2 by short hairpin RNAs (shRNAs) inhibited PDGFRα-stimulated phosphorylation and activation of Akt, extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2, Rac1 and Cdc42, prevented glioma cell migration and tumor growth as well as invasion in the brains of mice. The gene discussed is PDGFRA; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
