In female adults, the highest tertile (T3, total IgE >94.9 kU/L) showed a significantly lower risk of periodontitis after adjusting the confounders in model 2 (OR = 0.449, 95% CI 0.225–0.897) and model 3 (OR = 0.409, 95% CI 0.200–0.839). This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and periodontitis.
