In the PTCL model, LIN28B led to upregulation of IL-6, a let-7 microRNA target (Beachy et al., 2012), and is consistent with earlier work from the Struhl lab that linked molecular inflammation and cancer through a positive feedback loop involving NF-κB, LIN28B, let-7, and IL-6 (Iliopoulos et al., 2009). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and cancer.
