Table 2 shows that MYL9 protein expression and patient sex, age, clinical stage, T classification, N classification, and tumor location were not significantly correlated. However, MYL9 expression was significantly associated with histological differentiation (p = 0.028), recurrence (p = 0.01), and vital status (p < 0.01). Patients with poorly differentiated tumors tended to have higher MYL9 expression (Fig 3A and 3B). The gene discussed is MYL9; the disease is neoplasm.
