Among the top 10 small molecules identified by connectivity mapping that can reverse the DAPK1-associated gene signature (Table 5; the full results of connectivity mapping is listed in S3 Table), vemurafenib and trametinib have been shown to confer anti-tumor activity in melanoma via inhibition of the Braf/MEK/ERK pathway [25–27].
