In this study, we have found that DAPK1 mRNA expression was downregulated in bladder cancer with high T-stage and with shorter survival time, whether the downregulation of DAPK1 in these specimens was solely by promoter hypermethylation is unknown, nonetheless, the results suggest that reduced expression of DAPK1 play an important role in bladder cancer progression. Here, DAPK1 is linked to urinary bladder carcinoma.
