Additionally, according to our own analysis on a recently published molecular profiling study on adrenocortical carcinomas (57), samples with activating exon 3 CTNNB1 mutations exhibit increased expression of WNT4 in comparison to samples without somatic alterations in components of the Wnt pathway (fold change = 17.5, FDR-adjusted p-value <0.001). This evidence concerns the gene CTNNB1 and adrenal cortex carcinoma.
