IL17A and autoimmune uveitis: Amadi et al. reported that an increase in IL-17 levels in peripheral blood can increase the TNF-α level in the retina in animal models of autoimmune uveitis, while a decrease in IL-17 levels can significantly reduce the inflammatory response in animal models of autoimmune uveitis [30], indicating that IL-17 is involved in the pathogenesis of autoimmune uveitis.
