Integrin-mediated cell attachment has been shown to be required for cancer cell migration and metastasis.37 Moreover, β-integrin has been reported to function with MMP14, contributing to mammary epithelial cell invasion.38 We found that β-integrin was concomitantly decreased when MMP14 or ACTG1 was silenced in SW480 cells. This evidence concerns the gene ACTG1 and cancer.
