A previous meta-analysis carried out by Pereira et al[57] in 2007 failed to confirm the association between the TNF-α −308G/A gene polymorphism and IHD risk, while the results of the meta-analysis performed by Wang et al[2] in 2015 were not consistent with Zhang, indicating that the variant allele −308A was positively related to an increasing risk of IHD in total population. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is myocardial ischemia.
