As for large B-cell lymphomas, T-cell markers other than CD5 were expressed more frequently in immunocompromised patients, such as in lymphomas occurring in HIV-positive patients [14, 16], pyothorax-associated lymphomas [15, 19, 20], plasmablastic lymphomas [23, 24, 27, 29], and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive DLBCLs of the elderly [30], than in common DLBCL (Table 1). The gene discussed is CD5; the disease is lymphoma.
