Flow cytometry analyses showed that TNFR1 expression levels were higher on the surface of the MCF7 cancer line than on MCF10 (a breast cancer cell line not considered tumorigenic) and the HepG2 (hepatoma) cancer line, which natively expresses low levels of CD47 (Fig. 6a). The gene discussed is TNFRSF1A; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
