Real-time polymerase chain reaction showed significant increase of GAD65 (sham: 0.93 ± 0.05; PD: 1.58 ± 0.15; LID: 2.12 ± 0.18) and GAD67 (sham: 0.98 ± 0.03; PD: 1.35 ± 0.10; LID: 2.03 ± 0.26) mRNA expression in WT-LID compared to WT-sham and WT-PD groups (n = 4, P < 0.05, two-tailed Student’s t-test, Figure 3). Here, GAD2 is linked to Parkinson disease.
