In recent years, a lot of genes regulated by VDR have been identified due to combining chromatin immunoprecipitation assays with sequencing (ChIP-seq) technology41, 43–45; these genes are associated with diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, colorectal cancer, and multiple sclerosis41. The gene discussed is VDR; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
