Upon infection with Sendai virus (SeV), a known activator of RLR signaling and of the IFN-β promoter, a strong upregulation of luciferase expression was detected in the control-FF cells, whereas the VP35-FF cells exhibited little response to infection, reflecting VP35 inhibition of RLR signaling and IFN-β promoter activation (Fig. S1B).
