Cox's multivariate proportional hazards model indicated that FABP5 expression was an independent predictor of survival (hazard ratio (HR): 5.276, 95% confidence interval (CI): 2.928–10.347, P < 0.0001) and recurrence (HR: 1.952, 95% CI: 1.428–2.691, P < 0.0001) in HCC patients after curative resection (Tables 3 and 4). This evidence concerns the gene FABP5 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
