TOR1A and early-onset generalized limb-onset dystonia: Tor1a is a ubiquitously expressed AAA+ protein residing in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum/nuclear envelope space, the impairment of which is linked to the primary dystonia, DYT1. Deletion of Tors1a in the mouse brain causes some similar phenotypes to our mice, especially considering a loss of neurons in the cerebellar nuclei50.
