ANT2 is overexpressed in cancer cells or cancer tissues as breast,33 lung33, 34 and colorectal cancer,33 which are also known to be cyclin D1-overexpressing cancers.1, 2, 3, 6 Consistently, we also showed that siANT2-mediated downregulation of cyclin D1 were observed in breast cancer, melanoma, lung cancer and colorectal cancer cells (Figures 3c and d), all of which are known as cyclin D1-overexpressing cancers, suggesting that ANT2 is involved in the overexpression of cyclin D1. This evidence concerns the gene SLC25A5 and lung carcinoma.
