In summary, we found that prenatal to early postnatal treatment with a neurotrophic factor small-molecule peptide mimetic in Ts65Dn mice rescues developmental delay and AD-like learning and memory impairment, probably via increased BDNF and pCREB expression, reduced GSK3β activity, and amelioration of pre-synaptic protein deficit. The gene discussed is BDNF; the disease is Global developmental delay.
