NPPB and myocardial infarction: The 304 patients included in the REFER study had the following characteristics: mean age of 73.9 years, White ethnicity (70.4%), male (40.8%), history of myocardial infarction (11.2%), basal crepitations (5.3%), ankle oedema (81.6%), lethargy (74.3%) and had a median NT-proBNP of 214 pg/ml (IQR 79 pg/ml–494 pg/ml).
