The loss of loci on 17p (p53), 11q (cyclin D1) and 9p (p16) are known to be related to histological progression in Barrett’s oesophagus [5, 6, 32], we considered that chromosome specific telomere dynamics may drive the loss of loci on specific chromosome arms in Barrett’s oesophagus. The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is Barrett esophagus.
