ALDH1A2 and posterior cortical atrophy: Our case study results are not only consistent with the evidence for the role of ALDH1A2 in PCa but also show that the ALDH1A2 pathway could potentially be used as biomarker for treatment selection: aberrant expression of genes involved in the regulation of ALDH1A2 defines a patient group associated with a significantly high risk of relapse, thereby facilitating stratification of patients to ensure the appropriate individualized selection of therapy.
