A similar γδ T-cell-induced upregulation of MHC class I and CD54 expression was seen with non-CSCs and parental HMLER cells, as well as with a panel of luminal-like and basal-like breast cancer cell lines (MCF-7, SKBR3 and MDA-MD-231) (data not shown), implying that γδ T-cell-derived cytokines generally enhance the susceptibility of breast cancer cells of different origins to be targeted by CD8+ T cells. This evidence concerns the gene ICAM1 and breast carcinoma.
