Recent studies have pointed out that MDR1 C3435T polymorphism is related to the susceptibility of H. pylori infection-related gastritis and peptic ulcer.[13,14] Studies also revealed that MDR1 C3435T polymorphism was associated with the eradication rates of H. pylori infection using PPI-based triple therapy, but the results were conflicting. This evidence concerns the gene ABCB1 and gastritis.
