In conclusion, our retrospective study comprising 89 CRC patients with stages IIA, IIIB, and IIIC confirms that infiltration of the tumor stroma by CD68+/iNOS− TAMs and CD8+/FoxP3+ Tregs is a negative prognostic factor and there is a positive correlation between these types of infiltration. The gene discussed is CD68; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
