Univariate survival analysis show that DM, age, gender, HBV, alcoholism, albumin, bilirubin, INR, Na, AFP, eGFR, variceal bleeding, total tumor volume, vascular invasion, presence of ascites, and platelet count were significant predictors for survival in HCC patients (Table 2, all p< 0.05). The gene discussed is AFP; the disease is alcohol drinking.
