IFNG and neoplasm: Interferon gamma (IFN-γ) is a cytokine that elicits potent antitumor immune response by inducing Th1 response and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) activation.30 The percentages of CD8+ T cells in the spleen were significantly increased on day 28 after the treatment (Figure 2e, P<0.01 compared with the control group on day 26 after tumor inoculation), along with a higher IFN-γ level (Figure 3a).
