In the present study, we demonstrated that helicteric acid (HA), oleanic acid (OA), and betulinic acid (BA), three triterpenes from HT, possessed anti-CRC effects through decreasing inflammation, inhibiting cell proliferation, and promoting apoptosis of HT-29 cells through their action on both NF-κB and STAT3 pathways. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and colorectal carcinoma.
