Since we identified the potassium channel related proteins KCNAB1, KCNAB2, KCTD6, and KCTD18 as potential target antigens in the group of MOG antibody negative ADEM patients, we analysed all samples for antibodies against voltage gated potassium channel (VGKC) associated proteins leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1 (LGI1) and contactin-associated protein-2 (CASPR2), which have been reported in subgroups of paediatric inflammatory neurological diseases [14,15]. The gene discussed is KCNAB1; the disease is acute disseminated encephalomyelitis.
