IGF1 and stroke disorder: Assessment of young mice that received PEG-IGF-I treatment from either 3 hrs or 5-days post-stroke revealed a significant increase in the number of doublecortin positive cells that line the lateral ventricle (Region A shown in Fig. 5B: P < 0.05: Fig. 5C) as well as a significant increase in the number that migrate to the site of the stroke (Region B shown in Fig. 5B: P < 0.01, P < 0.05 respectively: Fig. 5D).
