EPCAM and neoplasm: Recently, several tumor tissue section staining methods have been reported with the following aptamers: aptamer SYL3C specific to the epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) antigen,3 an aptamer to CD30 expressed by lymphoma cells,1 aptamer TTA1 to tenasin-C extracellular matrix protein,8 and aptamer AX102 to the platelet-derived growth factor B (PDGF-B) that plays an important role in angiogenesis.9
